The inadequacies of the aviation sector
So some weeks ago we heard about the plane crash and a lot of controversies followed. The houses meeting and discussing live on tv about how badly plane maintenance is being handled and emphasizing on the incompetence of the various airlines. Which is a good thing because criticism can be constructive sometimes but if the betterment of this sector is been seeked, then it should be fully done. Yesterday, at the international airport, about 30 people where left at the checkpoint while the plane took off. Was it off schedule? I dont think so and even if it were, isnt there a 5 min delay plan or something. That aside, the plane left the potential passengers who had their bags checked and sealed already. Some were close to tears, some cried (a woman she had now missed her sons wedding), the fortunate ones with a little cash have now paid for another ticket to leave on sunday. A mistake they made and the customers have to pay for. How about those who had used their last penny to secure the tickets they with the hope that what they were aiming for will be accomplished there, they are now tarnished. So now i put it to you, do you think the plane left with about over 30 spaces vacant or did they give tickets to people who paid a lot more because it was urgent. Because rumour has it that that was how it went down. What else can i say? This is Nigeria.
